A great way to show our Ice Hawks kids how to be thankful by giving their support to our firefighters in the current events and how to be giving during the holiday season. The idea was for the kids to personally bring some treats to our firefighters who are risking their lives during the event of the Thomas fire and every day. On the Squirts last practice of 2017, Tuesday 12/19, instead of doing their regular dryland (from 5:15 pm to 6:00 pm) the Squirts walked over to the Marriott, right behind Ice In Paradise, and delivered some treats to the firefighters and then resumed to their on ice practice.
It was a good experience for our kids to show them a good gesture during this time of year. Hockey is fun, but things aside sports this gesture is important for our community! The Ice Hawks got a chance to meet some of the courageous firefighters and personally gave their thanks to them and treats. Great off-ice experience four the kids!
